  • The Back Up Pact

Has any of you have a guy or girl who is your back up when you hit a certain age? I'm talking about having a guy or girl that you would marry immediately if the both of you are still single at a certain age. Just like what Julia Roberts had with the guy in the movie My Best Friends Wedding

Yes, there was this guy whom I made that kind of pact with when I was in my senior year in high school. Not sure that would ever happen or if he still remembers it since we've lost contact with each other a year after graduation

Are you hoping to get in touch with him again?

  • #3
I haven't really thought of doing that since I've never met a person who had done it before

But are you thinking of doing it or it is still a no for you?

Me too, and I never have any plans to try this.

None, but I am planning to have a girl to be a backup plan when things don't go my way.

Do you already have a girl in mind to be your backup plan?

Are you sure that the girl knows that she's your backup plan?

PieFlavor If you are willing, you can be my back-up plan.

I made a pact with someone a long time ago and right now he was starting to contact me. Is it possible to turn down the guy, now?

It would be much better if you try to be in a relationship so that he wouldn't take it hard when you turn him down

holleroutyo I don't think that is a good idea, considering that HoneyHoney72 has no feelings for the guy.

I don't think this is a good plan for the future because what if one of you is still hoping for this pact and the other one is not.

Do you really think that one of them would hold on to the pact?

Live2Hunt I totally agree with you.

Made that sort of pact with a female friend. That we would live together once we're 40 and still single. It is more of a companionship thing and not anything romantic.

Well, I think that's great. At least the two of you have a backup plan.

How about when it comes to sexual needs? Are you going to help each other when in that department also?

This is the main reason why I haven't done it with any of my male friends

But if you secretly like the guy are you going to do it?

For me, that kind of plan is good in theory, but would backfire if you try once you apply it in real life

Do feel that doing that with a friend is a terrible idea

Nah, this is kinda risky to do in real life and I don't want to unnecessary hurts someone's feeling just because he's my back up plan.

I have a pact like that with my best friend and, I am still hoping she is not married when we reached that age.

What if she is married by the time you two reached that age?
