  • Bad Dates In A Row

How many bad dates does it take before you tell the person that it wasn't working between the two of you

  • #2
If by the third date there is still no connection between the two of us, then I would tell him that it would be better if we see different people already

It may seem harsh but I guess that is the best thing to do.

1xz9 Yeah, than to force something when you know it's not gonna work.

For me, it would only take two bad consecutive dates. If the second one was a good one for me, I would give him two more dates

What if the dates alternate between a good and bad one?

  • #4
Around 3-5 dates in order to get to know the person well and find out the reason why the previous dates were bad ones

What are you going to do if the girl thinks that things are getting serious between the two of you during those dates?

  • #5
I think twice is enough to know if it won't work or the other way around.

I think you need to give him one more chance.

Two dates would be the max, but I will go out with him for a third date and tell him that it won't work for us

smartass why not just tell him right after the second one? That's a bit like overstaying your welcome already

hitthesack Yes, that if the first and second date did not work out.

Amazeac Well, that has nothing to do with you.

Never encounter a bad date before and they are all given a second chance only.

I'm guessing that you never had a bad first date that's why you've given them a second date with you?

SmileDemiSmile She just said that she never encountered a bad date before.

Or you just put the bar too low that's why you haven't encountered any bad date yet?

  • #8
I would go and have a second date with him. And if in the middle of the second date, I feel that it's still a bad one, I would tell him that it won't work for the both of us at the end of the date

How many times did that happened already?

  • #9
It would be two for me cause I can still tolerate the first one.

So when was the last time you've been in a date?

honesty101 To answer your question, that would be last month.

What I'm after is consistency so it would be four or five dates. If we had a three good dates by the fourth date, then I would like to take things to the next level

I'm guessing why you mentioned a fifth date is when the good and bad dates are two apiece?

So it's a race to three then? The first one that reaches three would be your decision

If the second date turns to be bad, I think that is enough to call it quits.

And what if it was a good one? Are you going to give him another chance?

Annalyn is right. It's tied up at 1-1. Will it really be conclusive?

Three dates and he needs to make sure that at least two of them are good ones for me

So the second and third one should be good ones in order for things hit the next level

The first impression is important to me so it will only take one date to know if it was a bad date or not.

So you would ghost him immediately if it was a bad date?

If it's still a bad one by the second date, I would say to him that this will not work

  • #15
Having a 3rd date is the safest way to find out. Note: only tolerate if you really like something about him/her.

Correct, give the person a chance before giving your decision.
